Pfizer is trying hide the truth about smoking cessation drug

Pfizer is trying to hide the truth about smoking cessation drug Champix. Many people, when they decide to stop smoking, turn to somebody they can trust… their doctor. So when your doctor prescribes a smoking cessation drug like Champix (or Chantix in the US), you probably hope that it will be the answer to finally kick the habit for good. What you don’t hope for (and probably don’t even think about!) is memory loss, depression, erratic behaviour and suicidal thoughts… to mention but a few of the most common side effects associated with Champix. The article lists the potential side [...]

Hypnotherapy is the best way to stop smoking

Stoptober is a Department of Health campaign that challenges smokers to give up cigarettes for 28 days during the month of October. The premise is that after abstaining for this period of time, individuals are five times more likely to quit smoking permanently. But if you really want to stop smoking, then hypnotherapy is the best and most effective way. This article by the National Council for Hypnotherapy explains why - click here to read more Give me a call on 01603 712704 if you'd like to stop smoking now, or visit my website www.joygower.co.uk

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the new kid on the block. It's being backed by scientific research. Does this remind you of something? Cognitive Behavoural therapy (CBT) was the previous new kid on the block. CBT was hailed as the new therapy. It deals with our conscious thought patterns and aims to change the way we think. It's a good idea to change negative thought patterns, but if they are 'programmed' in unconsciously, then they just keep happening. Here is a very good article to read about Mindfulness and NLP

How to choose the right therapist

It can be a minefield when choosing who the right person may be for you to go and see for therapy. The good news is that more people are turning to Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a way to quickly overcome problems. However, problems can still arise when thinking about who to see. Anyone can set up a practice with very little training unfortunately and until the practice is fully regulated, instead of self-regulated, we will continue to see practitioners who have had little experience of working with the general public. Training providers There are also training providers who [...]

How to make the best of yourself

I am from an older generation, and so I can only recall pop stars and not celebrities. I would not have known what a celebrity was back in the 1960s. The Beatles were pop stars, and nothing else really mattered. As a girl I thought about my looks and being slim, and not fat, was important, but the only faddy diet I did was for two days and that was eating as many apples as you wanted to. The tummy gripes got to me in the end and so I gave up. Celebrities It would appear that anyone who [...]
