Hypnotherapy Diploma and NLP Practitioner Certificate

Introduction
This is our flagship course and is suitable for anyone wishing to begin a new career, or to add to existing skills, or even for personal development. Becoming a hypnotherapist is certainly a challenge which can be extremely rewarding and fulfilling.
Many people from all walks of life train to become a hypnotherapist. The minimum age required would normally be 24 and maximum 102! Taxi drivers, housewives, senior managers, doctors and many others have all found the training to be more than worthwhile, both personally and professionally.
To become a qualified hypnotherapist and to have the confidence in helping people to change takes time and practice. Shorter courses may offer the same kind of training, but most clients will expect a therapist to have had at least a year’s training. Intensive courses cram the information which often cannot be assimilated enough to be of practical use.
Our training aims to give you a broad knowledge in how to help people successfully, and most of all confidently. It is a client’s right and expectation to have a qualified and confident therapist.

Accreditation and Membership
The Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma is a qualification that is verified by the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and externally verified by NCFE, a leading UK awarding body. Many hypnotherapy training schools just issue their own certificates which are not accredited by an outside body. The NCH and NCFE both verify our training to ensure that we adhere to high standards of teaching and that the students have achieved a good standard of learning. The award is a vocational qualification at Level 4 (i.e. the equivalent of NVQ Level 4). When you receive your certificate from the NCH or NCFE you will know that it is worth having and that you deserve it. You will then be able to upgrade to a Registered member of the NCH.
The NLP Practitioner Certificate is also externally verified by the NCFE and is at Level 3. Again, this means that the training is verified against an approved set of learning outcomes that have been agreed with the NCFE. Our training policies, processes and procedures are also verified to ensure that the quality of our training is maintained.
Open University Credit Transfer Points
Upon successfully completing the NCH Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma, you will be entitled to 45 credit transfer points at Undergraduate Level 1 towards an Open Degree with the Open University. They count towards degrees of Equal BA/BSc weighting (i.e. combined BA and BSc) and certain named BA or BSc degrees. This means you would be exempt from having to study certain parts of the course.

The full cost of the course is
£1995 fully inclusive of manuals, course materials, certification and assessment fees. A non-refundable deposit of £395 is payable on acceptance to the course. We can accept payment for the course by instalments by standing order through your bank, after the initial deposit of £395. The payment plan would then be 10 monthly payments of £160.

Life and Business Coaching
(course accredited by the NCFE)
Course details
This course is externally accredited by the NCFE which is the UK’s fastest growing awarding body. The course will give you the skills to set up a practice in coaching, either as a life coach or in the corporate sector. The certificate you will receive, once the course and any assignments are completed, will be from the NCFE. The training has been accredited as a level 3 course.
This course will be invaluable if you:
- wish to change career and work directly on a one to one basis, or in the corporate sector
- want to integrate it within your existing career or in the way you manage colleagues or clients/customers
- want to use it in your own personal development or with family and friends
- already have NLP skills and want more
- have already completed the NLP Practitioner level and want to use NLP within the coaching context
- want to gain a good well recognised certification from a company that is an NCFE approved centre.
Although desirable, no previous knowledge of NLP is required as all techniques used within a coaching environment will be taught and practiced.
What you will learn
This course will train you to become a Life and Business Coach. Some of the things you will learn are:
- A definition of coaching and the difference between coaching, counselling, therapy and mentoring
- Ethics – the ethical principles which underpin professional coaching
- Coaching skills - building/breaking rapport, active listening, powerful questions, goal setting, action planning, planning for monitoring and review
- Advanced communication skills in a coaching environment, using sensory acuity, eye accessing cues, representational systems, sub-modalities, Milton language
- Values, beliefs and performance barriers
- Theoretical coaching models
- NLP techniques and their relationship to coaching
- Coaching agreements for individuals and companies
- Self-awareness and self-management
- How to conduct a series of coaching sessions
The course is highly experiential and you will be able to practice the skills you have learnt in a safe learning environment.
An extended case study will be required over a four week period to complete the final assessment leading to the certification by the NCFE.

Master NLP Practitioner
This course is suitable for those practitioners who are looking for further training to increase their NLP skills even further, either one to one or in group sessions.
The training is experiential, and there will be training from the tutor, and demonstrations from the learner. You will know what to expect for each module from the syllabus in a clear and precise way. We don’t use jargon, so each module clearly identifies the learning. There will be some assignments during the course which will be externally accredited by NCFE.
If you would like to take NLP further in a practical way, then this course will be suitable for you. You may be asked to demonstrate some techniques so that we can assess your previous learning. You will be asked to complete some assignments and case studies. Your trainer will train exactly what is on the syllabus. You will have the opportunity to ask as many questions both during the course and through supervision. You will have the opportunity to attend practitioner modules and present some aspects of NLP if you would like to.
Once the course has been completed you will also have the opportunity to be associated with Joy Gower Training, and also have the opportunity of completing Trainer Training which would enable you to create your own NLP courses which will be accredited by NCFE.
Most Master Practitioner modules will be therapeutic in content. Should you wish to complete your training one to one, then the course can be trained around your needs and expectations.

One to One NLP Practitioner Training
We are pleased to offer this One to One NLP Practitioner course. The course is externally certified through the NCFE, which is a leading UK awarding body. The course is equivalent to NQF level 3, and you will receive a UK qualification of value.
With one to one training you can choose how quickly or how long you want the training to be, so you have control of training hours. Mostly we train in two hour sessions, but we can adjust training times to suit you, either day times or evenings. There is also some assignment work which is then externally verified by the NCFE.
There are 10 sessions included in the training with ongoing support and supervision during the course and after qualification.
During each training module we evaluate any previous training and understanding which allows you to feel completely confident with all the techniques. The benefits of one to one training is that you have intensive training and feel confident enough to go through exercises that may take some more understanding.

One to One Hypnotherapy Certificate
We offer this one to one training in Hypnotherapy to anyone who wishes to learn the practical skills of hypnotherapy without taking the full Hypnotherapy and NLP Diploma course.
This may suit therapists who wish to add hypnotherapy to their existing skills, those who have trained elsewhere and wish to brush up on their skills and become even better therapists, or those who have already completed an NLP Practitioner course and just want to learn hypnotherapy skills and techniques.
The course is flexible and can be arranged in blocks of 2-3 days to suit you. There are no written assignments but you will be given practical assignments to do between training.

Stop Smoking
This one day seminar is specially designed for newly qualified therapists or therapists who would like more in depth knowledge of how to be even more successful with stop smoking sessions. You can benefit from this day if you would like to increase your confidence, or if you have lost some confidence with stop smoking sessions.

Regression
This one day seminar will help you to explore regression in more depth. Many people still want to deal with past emotional experiences or find resolutions from negative events.
On this one day seminar you will learn:
- Exploring your own limiting beliefs that may still be holding you back from achieving the success you desire
- Different models of regression including Gestalt, Time Line Regression Therapy, Watkins Affect Bridge, and other associated regressions
- How to explain to clients the importance of regression and the benefits in a positive and constructive way
- Create a four session programme which empowers the client and deals with past perceptions and attitudes

Past Life Regression
This one day seminar allows therapists to explore past lives for themselves, and to take clients into past lives.
It is not absolutely necessary to totally believe in past lives, but of course if you want to work with your clients beliefs. If you have an open mind, it is more beneficial when using this therapeutic tool.
You will learn:
- How to discuss the possibilities of a past life, or lives, before this one with clients
- How to deepen the trance or create trance states with new clients so that they can connect with their unconscious mind
- Make an experience with past lives enjoyable for clients who are curious
- Understand how past lives can influence our behaviours today, and how we can help clients to overcome those behaviours today, and how we can help clients to overcome those behaviours.

Choosing your Trainers
How do you know which training provider will be the best for you?
This may give you some guidelines when choosing the right provider for you. Hypnotherapy courses are being offered in greater numbers all the time. You can choose between short term or longer term courses.
In practical terms, the first question to ask yourself is what kind of training do you want? You may be quite clear to start with, or you may want to gather some information. Do you want an externally certified course by people who don’t know you but assess the work you have done throughout the course? This may be an important factor for you if you would prefer your work to be externally assessed. Most hypnotherapy bodies promote externally accredited courses rather than a training provider who gives you one of their own certificates.
The cost of the course is an obvious consideration and where the training takes place in terms of convenience. Where is the training venue? If you are going to spend a considerable time at the venue, it needs to be a place where you feel comfortable and relaxed. Clients need a place where they can relax, so it follows that when you are practising, you too need a comfortable place. If a provider is offering training in their own home, how does that fit in with your own beliefs about professionalism? The course may be cheaper, but is it worth sacrificing professionalism for a cheaper course?
How does the course fit in with your commitments? What happens if you have to miss a module?
Even more important perhaps are the trainers who will be training you for the whole course. The trainers will have a big influence on the course. Some trainers will have experience in the media, or will impress you with the fact that they are trained with international trainers. Most good trainers don’t need to impress you, other than that they have years of experience and are passionate about their work.
Perhaps the most important fact is your own personal feelings. You can find out as much as possible when you speak to the trainers. If the trainers are not easily accessible before the course to speak to, it may be that you will not get enough support either during the course or post course. A good quality training provider will offer supervision both during the course and after graduating. You should be able to easily contact trainers during the course, either by telephone or email. Larger training providers have administrators you can speak to, but they may not necessarily be familiar with the course you are taking.
This can be a rewarding career for you, although we prefer not to advertise for students whose only motivation is for how much money they will make. We would rather you be passionate about the career move and then work toward the financial rewards.
Using your intuition, you will be able to recognise whether the course you choose is right for you.
